The following discloses the terms of trade for this website, www.crop.cri.nz
and associated material on our secure website, which are both owned
by the New Zealand Institute for Crop & Food Research Ltd (trading
as and hereafter referred to as "Crop & Food Research").
By accessing and viewing the pages of this website you agree that you
have read and accepted the terms of use set out below.
Orders and returns
All orders will be dispatched within three working days of receiving an order
and confirmed payment. If the requested publication is not in stock then
efforts to notify the customer will be made within the same timeframe.
If you order a product that arrives damaged or is not what you expected
then we will happily accept its return within 15 days.
However, please note:
- All returns must be agreed upon by the Publications
co-ordinator before being returned,
- Return postage is the customer's obligation,
- Returned goods must be in a tidy, saleable condition.
Security of orders
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration
of the information under our control. All orders are processed through a
secure server (VeriSign Statement), which prevents interception of information
you have sent via our website.
All order information that is collected is stored securely for
the time it is required then destroyed.
Postage and packaging
Postage and packaging costs are not included in the price of an individual
item and are payable by the purchaser. Postage and packaging costs are calculated
before final submission of an order by a purchaser and are included in the
total cost of an order.
By default, all orders are sent via airmail. If you have special
postage needs please inform us when you place your order.
Prices and taxes
All prices stated on this website are in New Zealand dollars.
New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) is payable on goods delivered to a New Zealand address. Where goods are delivered to an overseas address, GST is not payable. By default, all prices stated in this website include GST. Our online store will adjust the prices stated to include or exclude GST based on the country specified by a purchaser when they register with the store.
Overseas purchasers are responsible for the payment of any additional
taxes and tariffs required in their country.

We exclude all obligations and warranties that by law we are permitted to exclude.
Except as imposed by law on a basis that can not be excluded, we:
- have no liability or obligation to you or any other
person or business on any basis, whether in contract,
tort (including negligence), equity or otherwise; and
- are not liable to you or any other person or business
for any loss, whether direct or indirect (including
loss of profit), arising from or in connection with
your use of this website or the information on this

Applicable law
Your access to and use of this website and information on this website
as well as any contracts entered into via this website are governed
exclusively by New Zealand law.
Customer information and future communications
Information required for processing your order is kept secure during
the time taken to process your order and then it is destroyed.
After an order has been processed, a customer's contact details (email
address and mailing address) are retained to allow us to keep you informed
of new books or products we think you might be interested in. You may
request that they be removed from our mailing list at any time.
